Dear All,

We have to replace one Ball Valve,Class 600# which is mounted on LPG Transfer Line very next to the pump discharge. We have recieved quotation from RPV-Group from UK (Vendor for almost all Valve Manufacturers).Problem is that they are offering Ball Constrcution as "Trunion Mounted" while as originally "Seat Supported " is installed. Will any body briefly disscuss can we use trunion mounted ball instead of Seat Supported one???

Kindly keep it in mind that this is highly hazardous job.LPG at around 600# LBS.

Yes you can surely use Turnion mounted ball valves for the process you mentioned.
Turnion mounted ball valves are preferred for high pressure service conditions.
Go for it.

I would agree with irish as Turnion mounted valves are preferred in high pressure service especially with 600 lb rating piping or above in large bore sizes.
What's the size of the valve?
