though its my not area but just for knowledge will any body explain that control valves are tagged as 40CV022[PIDC],40CV037[FRC],40CV[PRCA],40CV37[FRCA],

I am just stuck what does these words mean?? FRCA,PDIC,FRC,TRC etc.One thing which i have concluded by guesseing,does it mean that these control valves are actuated when;
FRCA When flow fluctuates i.e to control flow rate
PDIC to regulate and control pressure difference
TRC to regulate temperature difference?

Means to monitor and ensure any specific flow rate,specific flow with measured pressure difference,controlled flow with specific range of temprature variation
FRCA, PDIC and TRC are used respectively?

But still there is another confusion what is the difference then with TRC and TRCA? and FRC and FRCA?

Dear Saleem

Normally in process plants FRC means (Flow Recorder Controller) and TRC means (Temperature Recorder Controller) and PDIC (Pressure Differential Indicator Controller). FRCA could be (Flow Recorder Controller & Alarm) which means there is also an alarm associated with the process parameter i.e. flow. The better understanding of the same can be developed if we have the P&ID in front of us to actually understand the process requirement and then determine what is the valve's function.

This is my inference so far. I hope it helps you with your work. For better understanding i would suggest if the P&ID can be shared to accurately determine the valve function.
