Using Galvanized Iron mesh over SS Piping

Salams,
A case I am dealing with right now... your comments are welcome.
Use GI mesh to contain Rockwool over SS piping
The mesh will, in theory, not be in contact with the piping material although practically, 100% isolation is impossible to maintain.
However, IMHO this should not be a major concern since in case of such contact, zinc (more active than steel) rather than steel is more likely to corrode.
The second point is the quality of material itself. Merely ensuring that the two are not in contact is not acceptable - even if approved, the quality of the material itself would remain a concern.
Do you have any issues with this one? Or any further value addition?
Please comment.
