in my case how we can inspect the buried pipeline of cooling water system

there is no CP system installed

and diameter of line varies i.e min 2inch and max 8inch

kindly tell me other than LRUT?
if possible then tell me conventional technique

For external corrosion, carry out DCVG or CIPS and find out the defective coating - a prime source of external pitting / crevice corrosion. For internal corrosion, carry out LRUT or Pulse-Echo UT at random locations for internal thinning. Inspection of all pipe risers is must for soil-to-air interface corrosion.

If this is about plant piping then you need to perform Bell hole inspections i.e excavate & expose the line at different locations & do visual inspections to check the wrapping condition.You can check the thickness thru manual UT.DCVG/C-scan/CIPS is only give results on cross country pipings.

Sakib,
Underground piping without CP system is a crime. You should propose your management to install CP system so that your piping has adequate protection available against corrosion.

will you elaborate that what are the points that need to excavate other than branch connection and risers?

ya piping without cp is crime and i propose this to mangment nowdays i am working on it

i have read the manual provided by one of this forum
in it i have come to know about the inspection of piping system IN IT i read that wrapping and coating of underground pipings having no CP system can be ensured by using pearson survey meter
my question is that is it possible via it and if yes then what the procedure for it ?????????
as i used this technique on piping system having CP system installed
