Kindly tell me the name of the instruments used for the detection or analysis of Ammonia in the effluent?

Ammonia in effluent is analysed normally in lab. Usually companies take two spot samples a day & one 24-hrs composite sample. This sampling schedule is in agreement with EPA in Pakitan.
Also, online NH3 analyzers for effluent are available in the market.

usman, there are certain companies providing such online analyzers (hope you require analyzer rather a detector). Most commonly I have heard about is AM200. It has some delay, as usually in analyzers are. Anyhow you can get more info at http://www.p-a-i.de/e/am200.htm

I'd suggest you to go thru the attached booklets. It'd help you clarify a lot of questions in your mind.
These booklets were prepared by member companies of the European Fertilizer Manufacturers’ Association (EFMA) on Best Available Techniques (BAT) in response of European Union directive on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (a.k.a. EU IPPC Directive).
EFMA carries out a survey on emissions & effluents every two years based on the emissions levels defined in BAT booklets & issues a detailed report (graphical representation is great!). Fertilizer companies volanteerily participate in the survey worldwide, including Pakistan.
I've attached only two relevant to NH3 & Urea being the most common processes here in our part of globe.
