Engine Capacity and Power Relationship

I wonder if there exists a relationship between engine capacity and its power. If not theoratically can we relate them by some rule of thumb.

Actually the site compares various production automobile or marine applications. I am interested in the engine standing alone, forgetting the transmission, body structure and load.

No direct relation.
A thumb rule which may work sometimes:
1 horsepower with one cubic inch of capacity.

irfanali, CC basically represents the size of engine (combustion chamber) of any machine/car. For a constant "cc" engine, hp will change with change of fuel type, RPM, concentration of combustion air and fuel flow-rate.
acrpro is right in this regard. Anyhow, for gasoline as fuel, an optimum conversion of an average size car engine will be as follows;
15 ~ 17cc = 1 hp OR ~ 1 cu.in. = 1 hp
