Trays levelling and efficiency
Trays efficiency depends upon levelling of the trays as well. So for every tower boxup, process engineer must go inside and verify how the trays have been installed?
Re: Trays levelling and efficiency
Actually, it is not only the levelling but the sagging of the complete tray deck which is needed to be checked.
In addition the outlet weir levelness is important to check as well.

Re: Trays levelling and efficiency
That is the reason that for each box-up activity for all the process columns, a check from process Engineer is a must.
And they make an entry to verify leveling, reporting any sag, discontinuity, incorrect installation, missing trays / components.

Re: Trays levelling and efficiency
Trays efficiency gets reasonably affected by the leveling.
And that disturbance in the level happens during operations as well due to thermal expansion of tray deck.

Re: Trays levelling and efficiency
Particularly relatedto when having valve trays as bubble cap ones are prone to leakage even when moderately out of level.sys1 wrote: 14 Oct 2026, 06:45 Trays efficiency gets reasonably affected by the leveling.
