Have you gone through the document I attached in my earlier post?
I suggest you to read it in detail.
Moreover, if you still have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.

Hi
WRC-107 is for attachments (Hollow , Square , rectangular) on spherical and Cylindrical vessels . WRC-297 is for attachments(only Round hollow) on cylindrical vessels only . They have in common one thing Round hollow attachments for cylindrical shell.
1)My question is when using computer programme for determining stresses for "Round hollow Attachments for cylindrical shell", we will consider which bulletin WRC-107 or 297. What would be deciding criteria?
2) Kindly summarize the limitations of WRC 107 and 297 in terms of parameters D,d,t,T ?
Regards

1. Computer programs which are smart and enabled with WRC bulletins automatically shifts you to the applicable WRC or FEA on the basis of dimensions you enter.
2. WRC-107 calculates stress only in shell and not in the nozzle neck whereas WRC-297 calculates the flexibility in both.
3. I remember that WRC-297 requires d/t greater than 20, if I am correct.
4. Some more limitations for WRC-107 have been provided in the file attached by mechcolor. A useful one.
5. I suggest you must go through the copies of WRC-107 & WRC-297 for complete understanding.
