Bio-gas based Power generation

We are in a phase of making a feasibility of bio-gas based power generation plant. Using city waste for the production of biogas is a very effective way of solid waste handling. Right now we took start from producing overall process flow as FEED package. We will be requiring more details for gasifier and other new technology. if any one can help me in this regard, he will be more than welcome.

ashfaqanwer, mechanical phase will start after freezing the process technology. my actual concern here is to ask about process technologies regarding bio gas production from city waste. we will be making a feasibility regarding process technology, budgets, cost beak-ups, pay back time, possible usage (preferable power, as we initiate this project as a possible source of power). hope you get my point.

ibrahim, in general boigas production is done thru either natural an-aerobic process (uses of enzymes are also common to enhance the rate) or thru catalytic gasification process. Gasification process is further divided based on bed types; Fixed Beds (Downdraft, Updraft, Slagging Fixed Beds) and Fluidized Beds (Bubbling Fluidized Beds, Circulating Fluidized Beds). Where as electricity production using this gas can be done either by using gas turbine (or combined cycle) of by fuel cells. So before rushing towards costing, you have to select technically best process, suitable for you, based on your site location and type & energy contents of the feed.
There are some licensors that provide the process technology of bio gas production. Most common among them are
a) TPS Termiska- CFB atmospheric gasification with downstream dolomite tar cracker
b) Battelle indirectly heated gasifier
c) Essex County Mass Burn Combustion Plant
d) SEMASS RDF Combustion Plant
