Trays levelling and efficiency

Post by Guest »

Trays efficiency depends upon levelling of the trays as well. So for every tower boxup, process engineer must go inside and verify how the trays have been installed?

Actually, it is not only the levelling but the sagging of the complete tray deck which is needed to be checked.
In addition the outlet weir levelness is important to check as well.

That is the reason that for each box-up activity for all the process columns, a check from process Engineer is a must.
And they make an entry to verify leveling, reporting any sag, discontinuity, incorrect installation, missing trays / components.

Trays efficiency gets reasonably affected by the leveling.
And that disturbance in the level happens during operations as well due to thermal expansion of tray deck.

Particularly relatedto when having valve trays as bubble cap ones are prone to leakage even when moderately out of level.
