What are the major applications of C-Mn steels when we talk about petrochemicals?

Very commonly used steel for:
Separators
Knockout drums
Reactors (non-corrosive service)
Storage vessels
These steel have got:
Good strength under pressure
Cost-effective for thick sections
Easy fabrication
Typical grades:
ASTM A516 (Gr. 60/65/70)

With A516 then, we can easily say that 80% of the plant is made up of C-Mn steels.

Yeah but obviously not for any corrosive services, very high temperature or very low temperature.
