What does IOGP say about robotic inspection of storage tanks in general?
What are the key takeaways?

What I would like to say here is that it emphasises that Robotics is valuable only if data is reliable and actionable.
It asks for standardized data formats, traceable inspection records, repeatable measurements, digital integration with integrity management systems, and ability to trend corrosion & degradation. If that is all met.

IOGP tells about some challenges and limitations as well for robotic inspection. It is not a universal solution.
Common constraints:
Heavy sludge or debris blocking movement
Complex internal structures
Coating damage interfering with adhesion/magnets
Measurement accuracy limitations
Navigation & positioning accuracy
Ned for verification of data reliability

Verification & validation protocols are essential.
