Lloyd's Register-Capstone RBMI is the best RBI software currently avaiable in the market based on my experience.
The programme uses a risk-based inspection process to decide how, where and when to inspect a process plant. In an operating plant, a relatively large percentage of the risk is associated with a small percentage of the equipment items. Risk-based inspection focuses inspection and maintenance resources on the high-risk items first and lower risk equipment second.

LR-RBMI software has capabilities to carryout RBI for Upstream facilities,Downstream Facilities and Tank Storage teminals, which includes Static equiopments,Piping,Pipelines,Rotating Equipments,PSV,Instruments,Electrical and Structures.
The software acts as a Storage Database and RBI Analysis tool.

NNREDDY,

Is there any demo available for RBMI software?
I visited their homepage and did not find any.
What other RBI softwares have you used? How do you rate them?

Credo (developed by Credosft - UK www.credosoft.com) is also a good compitator in the market. It offers a comprehensive structure for both qualitative & quantative RBI approaches.

Credosoft RBI does not cover Pipelines,Sub-sea structures,Rotating equipment and E&I. Risk analysis for onshore and offshore is different and Credosoft cover only Onshore and degradation mechanisms for offshore and onshore also vary.
Dear Forum Members,
For LR RBMI software demo you can send email to Dr.JOHN FUAD EDWARDS -HEAD INTEGRITY and his email is JohnFuad.Edwards@lr.org or jarret.reeves@lr.org.

The RBMI Website is http://www.cap-eng.com/ and it gives all information.

Dear Team Member,

I have evaluated more than 6 to 8 companies softwares. Some companies still selling without making any improvement. Some companies still use onshore RBI methodology to offshore locations without make chamges to risk and degradation modules. Some companies RBI softwares are still qulatative but they say it is semi quantative.
When you do RBI work we should have a team of people consists of Materials&Corrosion,Inspection,Risk,HSE,Process and Operation people, then only RBI work is complete and easy to implement. But some tines we see single man show and it is not RBI.
Currently LLOYDS-CAPSTONE RBMI Software is one of the best avaiable softwares in the market and covers all types of equipment including pipeline, rotating equipment and E&I.

Thanks

Dear NNreddy,

I read somewhere that RBI is implemented only on pressure containing equipments like piping, vessels, columns, etc. It does not cover the "FUNCTIONAL Failures" of non-pressurized equipments like E&I instruments, electrical gears, control systems etc.
In your post above you have referred RBI for E&I aswell. pls clarify?
