Enlisting all preheat & PWHT requirements

Post by Dlew »

Is there any website having a complete list of all ASME materials with their preheat & PWHT requirements as per all different construction codes?

The charts are readily available to have these temperature ranges however directly looking into the code is recommended.

You can use the following link to know preheat temperature.
I am not sure about the code compliance but a very useful calculator.

ben,

This is a useful one but does not provide the code compliant values for pre-heat & PWHT for all different materials.
As I understand it leads you to the actual requirements (academic) based upon the chemical composition you provide.
Let me know if you find some references, enlisting code values including ASME B31.1, 3 etc.
