Inspection PM Plan - Primary Reformer Furnace

Post by qaisarabbas »

Dear members,

I am attaching a checklist for PM plans of all the components related to Reformer Furnace (in our case, its Foster Wheeler, Terrace Type Design). Please comment or suggest if I am missing any inspection check on any of the component. Request to share the similar checklist if someone has a more comprehensive. Thank you all.

Check the hangers expansion and contraction in hot(just after shut down) and cold condition

It looks fine to me.
Do introduce certain other advanced inspection techniques for catalyst tubes.

The inspection plan well covered all aspects. However, it doesn't contain your acceptance criteria. Do include OD measurement of catalyst tubes at outlet tube sections. Think of renewal as the strain goes above 3%.

Ultrasonic attenuation test looks well engineered & robust, because we pay handsome sum to these guys... But do ask them to provide you with the recorded data of the attenuation test for each individual tube instead of manipulated grading of tubes...

Aterao,
You made a valid point regarding OD measurement. That was missing.
