How can we determine the expected ferrite content during welding of different stainless steel?

WRC-1992 presents a diagram for the ferrite content prediction in different stainless steels. It plots the chromium equivalent on X-axis and nickel on the Y-axis giving you the predicted FN. I will look for the same and would share with you.

For the moment, I believe that the attached article will take you through all what you require.

You can use schaeffler - De-Long or WRC diagram to prediction ferrite content in alloy SS
