Yes this is known that 7018 can be used but what about with 7010 A1 for filling & capping?

Also is there any method to check induced hydrogen in the weld joint while using E-7010? Where i can find reference of this electrode in code?

What shall be the minimum pre-heat temperature in case of E-7010.
One of our contractor has suggested to use E-7010 for filling capping on cross country gas pipe line construction. For root welding E-6010 would be used. Shall we go with E-7010? Any suggestions ...

We have evaluated an other repair option for subject issue which is ESR - Epoxy Sleeve Repair.
Epoxy grout covered with Metallic sleeve(bolted). Can any one share his comments / experience/References about this ESR?

Ben, Have explored a local agency who performs composite repairs. They have provided following procedure.
1)- Surface preparation & have 3 options a)- Sand/grit blasting (not possible in our case due to low thickness & hig pressure natural gas inside) b)- Power brush cleaning c)- cleaning thru emery ...

Was away on vacations. Yes i've performed MAWP calculations.
The difference b/w MAWP & operating pressure is nearly 200psig. MAWP being on higher side.
Any advice?
