Amine Stress Corrosion Cracking
Why after years & years of service we have started experience amine stress corrosion cracking in our piping?
And where else should we be looking for similar damage to occur?
Should inspection go beyond piping to pressure containments including vessels, exchangers?

So proof test interval should not be the first thing to do rather looking into voting, redundancy should be given a priority?

Re: Recurring Tube Leakages
Our inspection team says that there are local damages, fretting phenomena happening.
And how that is happening, and why recently with such recurring leaks, we are all looking into.
Thanks for all your inputs.

Re: P&IDs Updation
You would not find this weitten anywhere that you need to have such a check or an audit process in place but some sites have practice of regular inspection of their PSI package. I have seen some performing detailed line walk downs every 5 years.

Bridgewall temperature & reformer tube outlet temperature
We have an observation where bridgewall temperature is rising with reformer tube outlet temperature coming down.
Does it point towards catalyst deactivation?

Re: Recurring Tube Leakages
Answered.
1. Have these heat exchangers facing such tube leaks for the 1st time? Yes but this frequent, no
2. Any recent operational changes happened which might have gone unnoticed? We are looking into any such changes on the tube side
3. What about the heat load and other variables as you ...

Recurring Tube Leakages
We have noticed frequent tube leaks in two of our heat exchangers. And now performing an analysis on what could be the causes and just in case not to miss any, what are the most overlooked causes of recurring tube leaks in shell-and-tube exchangers?
