With increasing cloud based data applications, it is bit of an effort to install engineering design software that too every time through IT support & permissions.
However, web based SaaS applications serve a lot better especially when we consider to apply small to medium sized engineering tools ...

Re: Low Cycle Ratio - Methanol Synthesis Reactor
To avoid that, maintain recycle compressor health, monitor compressor efficiency, vibration analysis, performance testing, seal condition monitoring.
Then optimize purge control, avoid excessive purge while maintaining inert gas limits.
Maintain accurate flow measurement; perform regular calibration ...

Re: Unintentional Equipment Degradation
Thanks all, so even what we call as normal operation can have an unintentional equipment degradation like cases of frequent starting up & stopping. An early level fix is required before risk normalization of such issues.

Re: Maintaining tube skin temperature in ethylene cracker
Heavier feeds generally produce more coke and require higher firing duty.
Examples include; Ethane → lower coking tendency
Naphtha → higher coking tendency
Feed changes often require TST adjustments.
Just keep a check on that.
