Burn Pit - Important Design Considerations
What are the major design considerations of a burn pit?
How can one know that the one available suits the requirements? Or that may have been over-designed or under-designed?

Re: International References for Flaring & Emissions Control
Following are the things which are normally covered in the compliance:
Flare system designed per API 521 / ISO 23251
98% destruction efficiency (minimum international benchmark)
Continuous monitoring of flare gas flow
GHG inventory per ISO 14064
Methane leak detection (LDAR program)
Annual reporting ...

Re: Identification of drillstring tool failure
Monitor surface parameters first which are the early warning signs.
Key indicators to watch include:
1. Torque Changes
Sudden increase > possible tight hole, tool damage, differential sticking
Sudden drop > tool joint failure, twist-off, connection failure
2. Weight on Bit (WOB) Abnormalities ...

Re: Controlling Amine Ratio
It depends on Ammonia to Ethylene Oxide ratio.
With high ammonia there would be more MEA and with low, more DEA and TEA.

Re: Predicting ESP Failure
Engineers monitor Amps, Voltage, Motor temperature, Intake/discharge pressure, Vibration, and Production rate trend.
You can say just like any other submersible pump in operation.
Trend analysis helps predict failure before it happens.

Re: Separator foaming - role of corrosion inhibitor
On the avoidance, you must monitor the dose (should not be anybody's guess).
Base that on water cut, flow rate, corrosivity, and temperature.
That has to be like ppm in water phase not just like L/hr.
The changes in the dose are required to be made in small increments, and observe separator ...

Re: The Right Check Valve
Yes, it is the gravity which plays against us while the swing check valve is in vertical position. Disc itself can have partial opening on top of gravity acting against.
Lift check valves are preferred if in any case a check valve is required to be installed on a vertical run. They do not depend on ...
