The formula given provides some interesting results:
Assuming pressure to be 285 bar in a pipe of 20 m length and 4" internal diameter, the safe distance comes out to be 3.71 m. It does not appear rational.

Actually the site compares various production automobile or marine applications. I am interested in the engine standing alone, forgetting the transmission, body structure and load.

Engine Capacity and Power Relationship
I wonder if there exists a relationship between engine capacity and its power. If not theoratically can we relate them by some rule of thumb.
